These are the same for everyone. The day number changes each day, the month each month, the year each January. For your own version of the day, see today's reading.

The universal cycles

The Universal Year comes from adding the digits of the calendar year and reducing to one number. It is read as the shared theme of the year, the tone the whole world is working under. A Universal Year 1 reads as beginnings; a 9 reads as endings and clearing.

The Universal Month and Universal Daynarrow that down, layering the month and the full date on top. They shift the tone in shorter arcs. The day is the one people check most, because it turns over fast enough to notice.

The personal cycles

Inside the universal tone, everyone has their own cycle keyed to their birth date. Your Personal Year comes from your month and day of birth added to the current year. It is your own thread inside the shared year, and it turns over each January (some traditions turn it on your birthday instead, which is a real disagreement about timing).

The Personal Month and Personal Daywork the same way at shorter scales. Together they are the numerology answer to the question the birth chart cannot answer: not who you are, but what season you are in right now.

How to actually use it

The honest use is not planning your life around the numbers. It is noticing. If today reads as a 7, a day the tradition ties to reflection and depth, you might take that as a small permission to go quiet rather than a command to. The number is a prompt, not an instruction. It works best held lightly.
