Personal Year 4: a year of steadying
David Phillips calls it a year of consolidation. Here is who is in one in 2027, and what it tends to be about.
Anyone born on a day like January 1, March 8, June 5, September 2, December 8, whatever the birth year. The year itself does not matter, only the month and the day.
Example, January 1: 1 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 13 → 4

A Personal Year 4 is one of the two quiet low points in the cycle. It is a year for rest, routines, and pruning what no longer fits, the way a vine is cut back in winter to make room for spring.
In this tradition, a 4 year is linked with routines, building, and finishing what is underway, more than with big new starts. A new start in a 4 year is framed as laying the base.
Phillips warns that big changes in a 4 year rarely work and can cost money or health, and he gives diet and nerve-tonic advice. We read that as a tendency, not a rule. Plenty of people make good changes in a 4 year. The pattern he points to is that building on what you have tends to go easier than starting over.
Where it sits in the cycle
In Phillips's nine-year cycle, the 9 and the 1 are the big peak, the 6 is a smaller peak, and the 4 and the 7 are the quiet low points. A Personal Year 4 is a quieter year. He is clear that the low points are not bad years. They are years for steadying.
Inside an 11/2 year
2027 itself adds up to 11, a master number, which reduces to 2. Everyone's Personal Year in 2027 sits inside that wider year of partnership and patience. Why 2027 is an 11/2 year
What would be easier to keep up if you made it simpler?
Personal Years follow David A. Phillips, The Complete Book of Numerology, chapter 9, where the year runs January 1 to December 31 for everyone. No numerology system is scientifically proven; this describes a pattern people use for reflection, not a forecast. See your Life Path against your year
